Godai Shinobi, a Side Quest from Assassin’s Creed Shadows, has you hunting down former Shotei students who are now evil. They are scattered across the map. Some are simple to kill, while others require you to take them on one-on-one.
Godai Shinobi is unlocked by completing both Showdown in Sakamoto, and Requiem for Rokkaku. The first is the main quest while the second is a side mission in Omi on Mount Hiei. After you have finished talking to Shotei, the Godai Shinobi objective board will show each target.
How to Find and assassinate The Godai of Void
You can find The Godai Of Void in north Omi, in the Goshiki Outlands in a cave near Daikichiji Temple. Use the clues in The Godai of Void’s Camp and the Fearful Travelers Quests to locate his exact location. Then, you can use your Scouts near the temple in North Omi to locate his cave.
You can’t sneak around The Godai Of Void, as he will surprise you in his cave, even though it looks empty. He uses a standard Tanto style of fighting and moves. If you’re at the recommended level you can stun him as he charges and kicks, which will reduce his health bar.
Once he is dead, he will be crossed off the board, you will get some rewards, and you will unlock the Call of the Void Tanto for Naoe.
How to Find and assassinate The Godai of Earth
The Godai is located in Iga. The Godai of Earth can be found in the Hijiyama area of Iga, along the western border. The Godai of Earth is located in the Hijiyama region, Iga along the western border.
As Naoe, you can assassinate The Godai Of Earth by approaching from the northern hillside near the village where he lives. Then you can jump onto the branch. You can either walk along the branch and use a smoke bomb to assassinate it from above or you can jump down and kill him with one blow. The Godai of Earth should not be a problem if you’re at the recommended level.
If you have to fight this guy, his regular tanto is a good way to beat him. Charged attacks, dodging kicks and parrying lunging attacks are all effective ways of defeating him. The fight is very easy because he’s on his own.
After he dies, you’ll get the Rooted Thrust Tanto for Naoe.
How to Find and assassinate The Godai of Fire
You can find the Godai of Fire in Omi, on Mount Hiei. To find it, you will have to finish Pyrophobia. You can find him in the hillsides of Mount Hiei in the northwest, near a pagoda that is burning. Your Scouts can help you find him. You can use the path that leads up to his location when you arrive. It is best to loop to the left and climb the rocks to sneak up behind him.
You can assassinate the man from behind while he’s sitting on the ground after you climb up. You won’t be able to kill him with one attack unless you have a high level. However, you can use your abilities and regular attacks as well as charged attacks. He only uses a Tanto so he’s not too difficult to fight. The best way to fight him is by blocking his lunging attacks and dodging his kicks.
You will see him throw his kunai a lot, so you should try to parry and block these attacks and then close the distance. After he’s dead, you’ll get some rewards including the Cindersteel Tanto.
How to Find and assassinate The Godai of Water
The Godai of Water is the next target. She can be found at Mangetsuji Temple in Omi, located north of Sakamoto. You can find her exact location with your Scouts. The Godai of Water is sitting on a rock in the middle of the swamp, meaning you can approach her from behind easily.
Landing as an assassination will deal about half her health unless you are overleveled. You can finish her off as you have with all the other targets in The Godai Shinobi, as she just has a regular Tanto. Charged attacks, rolling away from kicks, and blocking knife throws all help and allow you to either stun her or force her to block.
She doesn’t have any special moves or unique attacks. Once she is dead, you will get some rewards and the Typhoon Tanto for Naoe.
How to Find and assassinate The Godai of Wind
You can find the Godai of Wind in Iga. Specifically, in Shimagahara Valley at Otogi Pass. She is the last target. You will have to use your Scouts to locate this target as there are no clues. At the indicated location, you will find the Godai. You can climb up the rocks to the northeast to get a better view of her playing music. Then, you can jump down to assassinate the woman.
You can then finish her off as you would the other targets in The Godai Shinobi.
She does not have a tanto, but by spamming charged attacks she will never be able swing her weapon. After she’s dead, grab the loot in the nearby chest to complete the quest.
Return to Shotei who is currently in The Shimmering Fields at Omi. It is in the southern region. When you speak with him, he will thank you for your assistance and tell how he intends to train new students that won’t be the same as his former students. Upon completing the quest, you will receive a Legendary engraving and the Soaring Taatsu Legendary trinket as well as some XP.
