Today, we will review all the collectibles that you can find in Chapter 10 – The Forsaken Plains.  I also recommend reviewing Chapter 9 Ancestral Forge. All the hidden locations you need to complete the mission 100%.

The Forsaken Plains Rocket Man Challange

The first challenge you have to complete is called Rocket Man. It doesn’t appear at the start of the chapter, but almost at the beginning, when you get a new weapon – the Rocket Launcher. Your task is to damage at least 5 enemies with one shot. You need to make 5 such shots.

It was extremely difficult for me to complete this challenge, I had to deliberately gather monsters in a pile for the shot to count. Therefore, I recommend that you focus on completing this challenge from the very beginning.

The Forsaken Plains Gore Nest Challange

The second challenge is called Exterminator. Here you need to destroy 2 Gore Nests. They look something like trees. After destroying them, many monsters will appear, which you must defeat. Don’t worry about this one. I will show you the two places where you need to destroy Gore Nests as you progress through this chapter. They are hard to miss. Therefore, you will complete this challenge automatically.

The Forsaken Plains Fault Line Challange

The third challenge is called Fault Line. Here, you must activate the shield rune. You should have obtained it in previous chapters. You should only have one rune. You can activate it near the Sentinel Shrine. To complete this challenge, you must repel 25 green attacks from the enemy. Each repelled attack damages the enemy and counts as one use of the rune.

The Forsaken Plains Secrets

After the first battle, as soon as you get the Rocket Launcher, go left. Here you will see some gold on the map. To get to the first platform, find the green statue, throw your shield at it, and fly after it. Here you will get 3 gold. Then turn around and jump to the other platform. Here you will find the first secret area, 6 gold, and a Life Sigil.

The Forsaken Plains Secret Key Purple

Next, after you pass through the closed gate, pay attention to the place I showed you on the map. It is here, at the end of the route, that you will find the secret key you need to open many doors in this chapter. First, run to the spot to the left of the closed gate, find the green statue, throw your shield at it, and fly after it. This will take you to the second floor, and then you’ll need to check the map again.

On the second floor, you will see a gold line on the floor. Before it begins, there will be a small balcony on the right and a ribbon laid out with armor replenishment elements. You need to go onto this balcony and throw your shield from there to break the metal connection in front of you. Now, collect 6 gold coins and go to the end of the floor to the balcony where you broke the metal connection.

From here, you can take a big jump to the wall that will take you to the third floor. On the third floor, go to the right, where you will find a chest. Break it to get 50 gold. Now turn around and go to the other end of the third floor. There will be a hole in the floor, jump into it. At the bottom, you will receive the secret key to The Forsaken Plains. The door will open automatically and you will go outside, where you will encounter an enemy.

The Forsaken Plains Ruby

Now follow the route I am showing you to the red zone. There is a closed door here, which will open if you have the secret key. At the entrance, you will see a statue with a ruby, but it is protected by a transparent barrier. You need to go inside the room. Here you will find the first Gore Nest, which you must destroy to complete the second challenge. After you defeat all the enemies that appear here, the barrier around the ruby will disappear and you will be able to take it.

The Forsaken Plains Toy

After obtaining the ruby, turn left. You will see an accelerator below; jump towards it. It will throw you onto the platform ahead, where you will find a collectible Cyberdemon toy. To return from this platform to the main area, enter the portal and you will be transported back.

The Forsaken Plains Gold Locations

There is a room nearby that you may miss. Therefore, carefully examine the route on my map and follow the same path. There are no puzzles in the room. There are 6 gold coins on the floor, and of course there is a monster in the room that you must defeat. No one will give you the gold for free, you have to work hard to collect it.

The Forsaken Plains Life Sigil

A little further on, there will be another place where you will need to jump. First, you need to jump onto the wall from a running start and climb up it. Then turn around and you will see a green statue on the platform above. Throw your shield at it and fly after it. Here you will find another secret area and the second Life Sigil.

The Forsaken Plains Demonic Essences health

Let’s move on. Next up is the red zone, where a big battle with enemies awaits you. Prepare well for the battle. At the end of the battle, the main monster of this zone will appear. After defeating it, you will automatically receive Demonic Essence Health.

The Forsaken Plains Ruby Guide

Now take another close look at the route I am drawing for you on the map. You need to enter this room to get 12 gold and a ruby. There are many dangerous fire traps in this room. Fire will appear from the floor and walls, so be careful if you have low health. You will also have to destroy the enemy to leave the room with the reward.

The Forsaken Plains Golden Chest

Next, find this location on the map. It is not far from the previous one. Here you will see an accelerator. Enter it and it will transport you to the other side, where you will see a golden chest to your right. Break open this chest and you will receive 50 gold coins.

The Forsaken Plains Codex Location

Let’s move on. You will see several stairs in front of you. Climb these stairs and you will see a closed door ahead, which will open when you approach it if you have the secret key. You should have it at this stage. If you don’t have the key yet, watch the beginning of this video, where I explain how to get it. Once you enter the secret door, after defeating the enemy, you will be able to collect 11 gold coins and a page of the codex.

Doom TDA The Forsaken Plains Secrets

Near the second Sentinel Shrine, you will see a ditch. Jump into it and head to the secret area and the last Life Sigil in this chapter. The red area nearby is still closed; this is where your final battle will take place.

The Forsaken Plains Gold

From the second Sentinel Shrine, move to the next large red area. You need to go through a special room that I have marked on the map. In the room, you can collect 22 gold coins scattered on the floor. Be sure to jump onto the ledge on the right so you don’t miss the gold there. Be careful in the room, as tentacles jump out of the ground and attack you. Pass through this area as carefully as possible.

Doom Dark Ages The Forsaken Plains Ruby

Don’t rush into the red zone for battle. Go through the entrance and you will see a spiked trap that falls from the ceiling and then rises back up. Wait until it falls down and step on it. It will lift you up where you can jump onto the platform and collect the last third ruby in Chapter 10.

The Forsaken Plains Codex Pages

Go forward a little, past the spike trap, defeating all the monsters that stand in your way. You will see a path of six gold coins, and at the end of the path you will receive the second page of the codex in Chapter 10. Now turn around and collect 4 more gold coins to exit this area.

The Forsaken Plains Demonic Essences Armor

Now you can enter the red zone, where a great battle with monsters awaits you. As usual, an elite enemy will appear at the end of the battle. After defeating him, you will automatically receive Demonic Essence Armor. There are many monsters here, so try to complete the first and third challenges if you haven’t done so yet.

The Forsaken Plains Demonic Essences Ammo

After the previous battle and the destruction of the second cannon, look at the map for the next red zone nearby. Here you will find the second Gore Nest. Destroy it and the second challenge will be completed. Many monsters will appear, and at the end of the battle you will face another elite enemy. After defeating it, you will automatically receive Demonic Essence Ammo.

The Forsaken Plains Weapon Skin

After this successful battle, you need to return to the location where the previous battle took place. Here on the map, I have marked the location of the Weapon Skin. This is your shortcut to the final boss. To avoid taking the long way back, go to the Weapon Skin, pick it up, and I will show you the rest of the route.

The Forsaken Plains Wraithstone

It’s simple. You need to jump down and move straight ahead. You will see the last red zone on the map. This is the final battle, which was previously closed to you. Now you can go inside. Again, if you haven’t completed the first and third challenges yet, try to complete them here. Also, after you leave this location, there will be another battle without elite monsters, where you can complete all your tasks. Here, the task is to defeat all enemies and take the Core of Atlan.

Next, you are on your way to completing Chapter 10 of The Forsaken Plains. When you leave the site of the last battle, don’t forget to pick up the wraithstone. Until now, it has been surrounded by a transparent barrier, but now you can pick it up without any obstacles.

The Forsaken Plains Gold Chest

Now proceed to the exit from Chapter 10. It is marked with a yellow door on the map. This exit is located at the beginning of the location. Until now, the passage there was closed. Be sure to break the golden chest before completing the chapter to obtain 50 gold. These are all the collectibles in The Forsaken Plains. Knowing this, you will be able to complete the game 100%.
