We will find two pages of the codex in Chapter 5 of the game Doom: The Dark Ages. This chapter is called The Holy City of Aratum. If you look at The Holy City of Aratum, your main Hell Carrier targets are in front of you from left to right. The first page of the codex is in the first Hell Carrier, which is on the left. Inside the location, after you get the Super Shotgun, you should deviate from the main route. Go forward and to the right. There will be more monsters in the room and an interesting puzzle to get the ruby.

Look closely at my screenshot, I showed you the correct route. You need to go up to the room and break the chain with your shield. This action will lower the wooden bridge on the side. Behind it will be a container. Push the container forward and use it to climb up to the secret passage. This will take you to a room where you will find a circle of cultists, and a little further behind them is a gentle descent downhill, where the first page of the codex “The Holy City of Aratum” awaits you.

The second page of the codex is much easier to find. You need the fourth and last Hell Carrier. It is small inside. It is a small location where, almost at the end of the route, as you approach the engine room, you need to turn back. You will see a path of gold coins, and behind them you will find the second page of the codex “Deag Loric.”
