Iwill show you all the key points where you will complete side missions and various activities in Chapter 6 of Guiding Winds from the game Ninja Gaiden 4. I would like to remind you that all 15 chests in this chapter, where to find them, and the rewards for opening them are listed in a separate article. So here are only the locations for completing quests, finding important items, passing trials, and the final boss.

There are also one quests available in this chapter:

  • Execute the man-eating demons

And, as always, before you start, I recommend watching the video, which contains all the information with visual accompaniment in the game:

Guiding Winds Purgatory Gate

The first interesting location in this chapter is Purgatory Gate. You can safely progress through the storyline, move forward, collect chests, defeat enemies, and eventually fly with your glider to the rather shaky wooden bridge that I showed you in the video. On the right is a group of Armored Sickle enemies.

After you defeat them, move in the direction from which they appeared. Here, using Caddis Wire, you will move on and see Purgatory Gate. They are illuminated by blue fire. You should already know what this challenge looks like, so I won’t go into the technical details. But I will tell you more about the battle. In this trial, you need to destroy three waves of enemies.

The first wave is quite simple, but you need to go through it as carefully as possible so as not to waste elixirs. The second wave includes more dangerous enemies: Tengus, Armored Sickles, and Onis. About halfway through the battle, Tsukumo: Kettle will appear. Don’t use your ultimate ability to destroy it. You’ll need it later.

The third wave includes all of the enemies listed above, but there will be three Tsukumo: Kettles at once. The very fast Onis will try to destroy you. Use your ultimate ability to destroy the first Tsukumo: Kettle, then thin out the ranks of enemies and focus on the second Tsukumo: Kettle. After victory, you will immediately receive your reward.

Execute the man-eating demons

From the fourth DarkNest Terminal, follow the path I show you. This place is easy to miss, so pay attention. Here you need to complete a side quest and receive a reward for it. Use the Caddis Wire to jump forward, then use the Dragonfly Glider to fly to the platform where the battle takes place as part of the Execute the man-eating demons mission.

You will meet a new grade of Oni here. The new Onis are similar to the original Onis in all respects, except that they deal more damage and possess more health. All four enemies will clump together because they use the same attack patterns. Therefore, it is convenient to attack them with ultimate abilities during grouping. Overall, it is an interesting and quite challenging battle.

Capture Gourdy in Guiding Winds

Next is a place you definitely won’t miss. Two ascents await you with the help of Flying Bird Flip. You can skip the company with Tsukumo: Fish and climb up to the platform. Here you will be attacked by aggressive lanterns. This is an intermediate platform. After it, you will climb up again, and here you should immediately turn back and look down. You will see the platform where Gourdy is located. Jump onto the platform to catch him. There is a simple mini-game here, which you will complete without any problems and catch Gourdy.

The final battle in Guiding Winds

That’s pretty much all you can find in Guiding Winds. There is no final boss in the sixth chapter, but there is a final battle with a large number of enemies. I’ll tell you more about it later. There are really a lot of enemies here, and they appear one after another.

Therefore, I recommend replenishing your elixir balance near the last DarkNest Terminal. At the beginning of the battle, you will encounter fairly simple enemies that you have already defeated more than once. The difficulty is that they seem to be endless. You defeat some, and new ones appear. Therefore, you need to be as careful as possible during this battle and save your health to complete the battle. In the middle of the battle, Tsukumo: Fish will appear.

I dislike this enemy as much as possible, so I just moved away, dealt with the others, and then returned to this fish. After destroying it, two more Tsukumo will appear. First, destroy Tsukumo: Fish, and then focus on Tsukumo: Kettle. Finally, after victory, you will move on. Destroy another statue with a long nose and you will find yourself on the way to the next chapter, which I will tell you about in the next article.
