As Assassin’s Creed: Shadows takes players to the heart of feudal Japan the competitive scene has already heated up. Online tournaments and PvP are becoming more popular, so mastering your build will be crucial, especially if you’re playing as Naoe the stealthy, agile shinobi.

This guide will help you dominate tournaments using Naoe. It covers everything from the core strategies to the best build for a quick path to victory.

Why Choose Naoe in Tournaments?

Naoe can be an extremely lethal force when used with precision. She excels as a master of stealth, excelling in environments which favor speed, invisibility, and silent takedowns. While Yasuke relies more heavily on brute force tactics for takedowns than Naoe does: she prefers tactical gameplay involving shadows, verticality, deception.

Naoe gives you an advantage in tournament formats where speed and finesse are valued more than brute strength.

How to Unlock “The Tournament”

Unlocking this quest requires following through with the main storyline and meeting specific criteria:

  • Defeat at least 7 Shinbakufu targets: These figures play key roles in assassination missions within the game.
  • Reach Level 35 or Above: While not mandatory, players who reach this milestone are better prepared for what awaits them in future battles.
  • Initiate the Quest: Once meeting all conditions, travel to your Hideout in Izumi Settsu and exit it; Gyoji will be nearby waiting to offer you an invitation for the tournament.

Quest Location: Ominesanji Temple, Yamato Province

Once you accept an invitation to participate, the tournament takes place at Ominesanji Temple in Yamato province – more specifically Yoshino in its southern area. Once unlocked, Ominesanji Kakurega or Ominesanji Overlook provide faster access points.

Without fast travel points, be prepared for an expedition through mountainous terrain between Yoshino or Mount Hakkyo.
