The Seta River Killers quest begins in your main hideout. In short, you will meet Rufino, who turns out to be an old acquaintance of Tomiko. After a long conversation, you agree to help Rufino destroy the bad guys and break up another gang. But it’s not that simple. The task will turn out to be a little more complicated, and you will see an unexpected ending.

Destroy the research

In order to start the quest and unlock a new organization on the task board, you need to complete a special task. You need to find and destroy research. You can complete this task in a specially designated area. Near Sakai in Izumi Settsu, you will find a ship in the sea near the coast. I have marked it on the map for you.

First, you need to get to this ship. You can simply swim there, or you can use transport, which will make the journey much shorter. The ship is full of enemies, so you need to be as careful as possible when you start your search. I recommend destroying as many enemies as possible in stealth mode and then exploring the ship.

You need to find three large boxes and break them. One is located at the stern, the second is inside the ship, and the third is on the second floor. After that, the quest will update and you will need to rescue Rufino right there on the ship. You will have an easy fight with the Contractor. After that, Rufino will read special letters and you will have a new set of targets on the quest board. Let’s start finding the targets one by one and destroying them.

Assassinate the Builder AC Shadows

The first target is Builder. You can find this character in Izumi Settsu, south of Yawata Plains. I have marked the location on the map. Once there, you will see the enemy. There will be other enemies nearby. If you don’t want to engage in combat, find a convenient position and throw a kunai at the main target. In my case, I had to fight the enemies. I chose Builder as my priority target and, after destroying it, quickly fled the battlefield so as not to waste time. Now that the first target has been defeated, let’s move on to the next one.

Assassinate the Collector AC Shadows

The next target is Collector. You will find this target in Yamashiro, not far from your Hideout. The exact location is marked on the map. Your target is standing on the pier. Most likely, you arrived just in time and will save someone’s life by defeating Collector. I suggest sneaking up to a safe distance and throwing a kunai to defeat the enemy. Collector has low health, so one throw will be enough to defeat the target.

Assassinate the Stalker AC Shadows

The next target is Stalker. You will find this target in Omi. This time, your target is hiding in the bushes and is most likely planning to do something bad. So, again, be on time. By destroying the enemy, you will help people again. Find the location I marked on the map. As soon as you cross the bridge, stop. You will find Stalker near the house in the bushes. Once again, one throw of the knife will be enough to defeat him and update your task board.

Assassinate the Trader AC Shadows

The fourth target, Trader, is located nearby, also in the Omi region. The location is marked on the map. You can get here from the previous location on horseback and use fast travel. Trader is inside a building. There are other enemies inside, so if you choose the wrong target to assassinate, you will have to fight the enemy. But this will not be a problem for you, especially if you use my Naoe build, which you can find in the description of this video. After the victory, let’s look at the updated task board and choose the next target.

Assassinate the Tormentor AC Shadows

The next target is Tormentor. You will find him in Izumi Settsu. The location is marked on the map. When you approach this place, you will see that Tormentor is trying to catch up with someone and probably kill them. I suggest you bring him to justice. Catch up with Tormentor and assassinate him. He won’t even notice you, so it will be easy. Now it’s time to check the mission board again and choose your next target.

Assassinate the Exterminator AC Shadows

The next target is Exterminator, who is also located in Izumi Settsu. This time, the enemy is behind fortified walls, surrounded by soldiers. If you act stealthily, you will be able to quickly assassinate Exterminator. If you are spotted, you will either have to flee or engage in battle with your enemies. There will be many of them around you. Focus on the main target and direct all attacks towards the Exterminator.

Dodge the other enemies and you will ultimately be victorious. Now you may be a little confused, because the continuation of the objectives will not be available on the board in the Seta River Killers circle. You need to talk to Rufino further.

Talk to Rufino

You will find Rufino in the main Hideout. He will be worried and ask you to finish the job, because everything is done and there is no need to kill the leaders of this gang. Among them are Scholar and Architect. In the end, he will show you where to find them.

The place you need to find is located on a small island in Lake Biwa in Omi. There will be two simple enemies here. Then you will climb a large mountain and find that there is no one here. Next, using the notes that Rufino translated earlier, you will find the right place. That is where the resolution of this quest and a tragic story await you.

Scholar AC Shadows

So head to the Ibu Highlands. I’ve marked the location on the map, so you’ll find it easily. When you get there, you’ll see Rufino talking to Scholar and persuading him to leave the gang because he won’t be able to protect him forever. It’s strange. But now it’s clear why Rufino was so eager to persuade him not to continue searching for and destroying the gang leader. It turns out that Scholar is Rufino’s old and only friend.

Moreover, he is not a villain, but a good person. That’s how things turned out. I won’t tell you the whole story. You’ll see all these scenes for yourself, listen to the dialogues, and understand everything. At the moment when Yasuke, irritated by the lies, is ready to enter the battle, a new character unexpectedly appears on the scene. This will be the main villain and leader of the Architect gang, who is also a member of the Templar Order, which hates Yasuke. Then the events unfold very quickly and dramatically. Architect will order his henchmen to shoot Scholar.

Unfortunately, he will die. After that, you will have a battle with the main enemy and his assistants. Here you can choose who to play as, Naoe or Yasuke. Here you can choose who to play as, Naoe or Yasuke. Despite the fact that this is a direct battle with many opponents, I chose Naoe because I prefer playing with this character. Rufino will become your ally in battle and will help you. After defeating the Architect, you will receive a new achievement: Critical Hit.

Yasuke will also offer Rufino to join your team. Now you can open the quest board and see that the last two objectives are also marked as completed. Unfortunately, the Scholar could not be saved and he also died.

Interestingly, the Seta River Killers quest appeared much later than the main release of the game, when many players had already completed the game and left it. Only loyal fans and those who liked the game remained. I’m sure you’ve already heard that an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Shadows called Claws of Avaji is coming out very soon.
